To put things into perspective, let’s compare two fictitious people starting a blog and attempting to become affiliate marketers – Person A and Person B. Person B takes paid training at a cost of $3,000. Let’s assume Person A takes 3 months to learn everything Person B learns in one month of paid training. Look at how the time difference works in Person B’s favor.
The important thing about this graphic is getting where you need to be and why it’s reasonable to pay for training no matter which new online career you choose – it doesn’t mean you will paying $3000.
- We are making assumptions of course there is no guarantee that you will increase your income every month or you may make much more than is displayed here.
- We are assuming Person A would learning everything a course teaches in 3 months on their own – this is usually not the case, it could take much longer.
Affiliate Marketing is Complicated
Affiliate marketing has so many terms – it’s a new language – it’s a new career., CPA, PPC, CPC, funnel, spit testing, squeeze page, landing page. Lets through a couple in that you might be familiar with so you don’t feel overwhelmed; SEO and cookie! There are easily 80 – 100 more terms you would want to be familiar once you get into affiliate marketing. Do you really want to manage learning all that on your own?
Why does all this mean and when do they matter, why do they matter?
To be honest, you might not make that much money in 12 months being an affiliate marketer or you could make much more. The relevance of the graphic is to show how training propelled Person B ahead of Person A. Structured training will guide you and hopefully keep you from making time-consuming and costly mistakes. No one can say you will make any amount in any specific time. There are too many variables. And frankly, taking anyone from 0 to 60 and telling them to expecting the same results as someone that has been at this for years is just… mean!
There will be some things that just take time, no matter what. With all that said, here are some useful classes that will HELP you greatly cut down on the learning curve.
